Focus: God Searches the Heart
Questions:
1. Why was King David not allowed to build a place for the ark of the covenant to dwell?
2. Name three of the most important things David instructed Solomon to do as king. What was the focus of David’s instruction to Solomon?

2 Chronicles 19 - 25
Focus: Prophets
Questions:
1. Why does God speak through Jahaziel and how does he use him?
2. Jehoram receives a letter from Elijah, the prophet. Why did Elijah write to him?
3. Why does God use prophets to speak to the kings of Judah? What are the circumstances before a prophet arises to speak on behalf of God?

2 Chronicles 12 - 18
Focus: Enemies of God's People
Questions:
1. Shishak, the Egyptian king is allowed to conquer and enslave Judah. Why did God allow this?
2. Zerah, the Ethiopian, came against Judah with a million-man army. What was king Asa’s response?
3. What are the various reasons God allows the enemies of His people to come against them? What purpose did Shishak and Zerah serve for God’s greater plan for Judah?

Focus: Listening
Questions:
1. Solomon repeatedly makes a request from God once the temple’s construction is finished. What is this one request? How did God respond?
2. Jeroboam and the people of Israel made a request from king Rehoboam. Did Rehoboam listen to their request? How did Rehoboam come to his decision?
