The purpose of this devotional is assist you in your reading by giving you ideas to reflect upon, however, be sure to take notes for yourself and ask questions that are not given here in this devotional.

2 Chronicles 26 - 32
Focus: Dishonoring God
Questions:
1. King Uzziah is introduced as a king who followed after God. What happens later in his life that changes this?
2. King Ahaz became desperate for deliverance from Israel’s enemies. What did he do to try to deliver his people? What was the result of his actions?

April 21 - 27
Nehemiah 1 - 7
Focus: Shrewness
Questions:
1. Why was Nehemiah’s occupation in Babylon important for the restoration of Jerusalem?
2. Nehemiah comes up with a plan in reaction to Sanballat and other dissenters to Jerusalem’s reconstruction. What was his plan? Did it work?
3. After a series of events Nehemiah becomes the governor over the land of Judah. Why was this significant?

Ezra 4 - 10
Focus: Adversity
Questions:
1. Those who came to repair the temple and rebuild Jerusalem faced an obstacle. What was it?
2. King Darius becomes involved in the reconstruction of Jerusalem. What is the result of his involvement?

Focus: Guilt
Questions:
1. What was so great about the sins of Manasseh that caused God to punish Judah even after good kings reigned that came after Manasseh?
2. When the foundation of the temple was restored in Jerusalem, what caused the people to weep?
