The purpose of this devotional is assist you in your reading by giving you ideas to reflect upon, however, be sure to take notes for yourself and ask questions that are not given here in this devotional.

June 30 - July 6
Job 41- 42; Psalm 1 - 5
Focus: Blessing from the Lord
Questions:
1. What was required of Job before God blessed him? How was this also a blessing for Job’s friends that had accused him?
2. What makes someone blessed according to the Psalms? Did you ever consider what the Psalms say being blessed means for your own life?

July 14 - 20
Psalm 13 - 19
Focus: God’s Presence
Questions:
1. David writes that “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Psalm 14:1, NASB). Think deeply about what this means. Why is it foolish to say that “there is no God”?
2. Of all the things in this world, David describes God as his only inheritance. Although all other things are physically present and we can physically take hold of them, they are temporary and will decay. How does this affect your view of God’s presence, although He is unseen?

Focus: Asking of God
Questions:
1. David not only asks of God to help him, but in doing so, how does he affirm his faith in Him?
2. God is referred to as a Helper to David in times of trouble. What are specific ways David asks God for help?

July 21 - 27
Psalm 20 - 26
Focus: Maturing Faith
Questions:
1. David cries out to God in desperation, but how does he end the psalm (Psalm 22)?
2. In praying for protection, David states that he has walked in integrity (Psalm 26). What does this mean?
