Focus: Focused on God
Questions:
1. What is the one thing David says he asked of God (Psalm 27)? What does he mean by asking for this?
2. What kind of trials does David speak of in the Psalms? What leads you to seek God’s presence during trials in your life?

August 11 - 17
Psalm 41 - 47
Focus: Suffering from Affliction
Questions:
1. Who are some of the enemies that David and the sons of Korah mention? Have you had enemies of this kind in your life? How have you handled their affliction?
2. The sons of Korah sing of God as King. What does God, the King of kings, do for those who are afflicted?

Focus: The Wicked and the Righteous
Questions:
1. What does David mean in Psalm 36:1-2? How does transgression speak to the heart of the ungodly person?
2. David shows how a man can be righteous even when sin has overtaken him. How can this be? (Psalm 40).

Focus: Repentance
Questions:
1. What does Asaph reveal about the nature of mankind? What is the remedy?
2. Psalm 51 is unique because of the story behind its writing. What does the Psalm reveal about its writer?
