Joshua 10 - 16
Focus: Miraculous God
Questions:
1. What was significant about the Israelite’s battle with the five kings of the Amorites? Who were the Gibeonites and how were they involved?
2. Israel defeated over thirty kings in their conquest of the promised land. What kind of miraculous things have you seen in your life that also show God’s power?

September 9 - 15
Judges 7 - 13
Focus: Help from God
Questions:
1. Although Israel was unfaithful, what did God do in order to lift their oppression and bring them to repentance?
2. What do you think motivated Jephthah to make his vow to God? What did Jephthah not understand about God’s help?

September 2 - 8
Joshua 24 - Judges 6
Focus: Weak Loyalty
Questions:
1. What tribes of Israel failed to completely conquer their territory? What was the result of this disobedience?
2. Israel quickly turned away from God and began practicing the abominations of the people who were dispossessed by their conquest. Why do you think Israel turned away from God to serve these idols?

Focus: Keeping Promises
Questions:
1. How was the land of Israel’s conquest apportioned? Why was it done this way?
2. The priests were not designated a portion of the land according to the command of God. How did they settle in the promised land? What land was given to them to live in?
